United Federal Credit Union Appoints Six Employees to Branch Leadership Positions in Nevada

RENO, Nev. – United Federal Credit Union (United) has appointed six employees to branch and market leadership positions in Nevada.

Lindsey Cortes has been appointed to the position of Branch Manager at United's Bible Way branch located at 1170 Bible Way in Reno, Nevada.

As branch manager, Cortes will be responsible for maintaining the performance of the branch, selling products and services and providing leadership and supervision to staff.

Cortes brings more than 14 years of experience in the financial services industry, including serving as Teller, Member Service Advisor, and Assistant Branch Manager at United Federal Credit Union from 2006-2017. She returns to United after spending time with TriNet as HR Customer Representative and Benefits Specialist.

Cortes is a graduate of Damonte Ranch High School in Reno and is highly involved in the community. She has served as event chair for Relay for Life Reno/Sparks, volunteered for Mom's on the Run, participated in the Light the Light Walk for Leukemia, volunteered for Keep Truckee Meadows Beautiful as well as the Nevada Food Bank.


Autumn Eiler has been appointed to the position of Branch Manager at United's Double R branch located at 10705 Double R Boulevard in Reno, Nevada.

As branch manager, Eiler will be responsible for maintaining the performance of the branch, selling products and services and providing leadership and supervision to staff.

Eiler brings 7 years of experience in the financial services industry, all with United Federal Credit Union serving as a Teller, Member Service Advisor, and most recently as Assistant Branch Manager.

In the community, Eiler has volunteered with several non-profits including R.IS.E, Girls on the Run, Food Bank of Northern Nevada, Food for Thought, Salvation Army, For Kids Foundation, and has partnered with Damonte Ranch High School to provide financial wellness and support local teachers.


Jeff Panko has been appointed to the position of Branch Manager at United's Northwest branch located at 980 Ambassador Drive in Reno, Nevada.

In his new role, Panko will be responsible for maintaining the performance of the branch, selling products and services and providing leadership and supervision to staff.

Panko has 15 years of financial services experience and has been with United since 2014, serving as a Member Service Advisor and most recently as Branch Manager of the credit union's Spanish Springs branch.

He graduated from the University of Nevada, Reno with a Business Management and Information Systems degree, as well as earning a certification of excellence in non-profit management.

In the community, Panko serves on the executive board of The Women and Children's Center of the Sierra (WACCS), is a board member of the Nevada Humane Society (NHS), an advisory board member of My Journey Home Inc. (MJH), a member of the Young Professionals Committee of Big Brothers Big Sisters of Northern Nevada, a Reno Sparks Chamber ambassador, and in the Leadership Reno Sparks Chamber program 2020.


Jessica Smith has been appointed to the position of Branch Manager at United's Spanish Springs branch located at 2432 Wingfield Hills Road in Sparks, Nevada.

As branch manager, Smith will be responsible for maintaining the performance of the branch, selling products and services and providing leadership and supervision to staff.

Smith brings more than 15 years of experience in the financial services industry, including serving as Member Service Advisor and Assistant Branch Manager at United Federal Credit Union. She has also worked as a Personal Banker and Service Manager at Wells Fargo prior to her time with United.

In the community, Smith uses her role at United to support organizations such as the American Heart Association, Girls on the Run, and the Boys and Girls Club of Truckee Meadows.


Christie Asis has been appointed to the position of Regional Market Development Manager in Reno. Asis has been with United since 2016 and served as branch manager of the credit union's Northwest branch.

In her new role, Asis will be responsible for driving business development while promoting corporate member engagement, business and consumer membership and growth, along with positive public relations community activities. She will also identify and recruit new members in both new and existing markets, as well as continue to nurture relationships through regular contact with existing and potential corporate members' management teams.

Asis has over 13 years of banking experience, along with several years in sales, service, business development, and holding position as personal banker and branch manager. In addition to serving as branch manager at United's Northwest branch, Asis also helped open the credit union's Carson City South branch in 2016.

Asis holds a bachelor of business administration degree from the University of Phoenix and is also highly involved in the community. She is currently a member of the Rotary Club and a Co-Chair for Rotary's youth Interact Club, and a board member of the Hayek Group. She is also a member of the Chamber of Commerce for Reno and Sparks, a member of the Carson City Chamber and Carson Valley Chamber, as well as a member of the Reno Tahoe Young Professionals Network.


Rebecca Hobson has been appointed to the position of Regional Market Development Manager in Reno. Hobson has been with United since 2013 as Branch Manager at the credit union's Bible Way branch.

In her new role, Hobson will be responsible for driving business development while promoting Corporate Member engagement, business and consumer membership and growth, along with positive public relations community activities. She will also identify and recruit new members in both new and existing markets, as well as continue to nurture relationships through regular contact with existing and potential Corporate Members' management teams.

Hobson has over 15 years' experience in the financial services industry, holding positions from banking specialist to business sales consultant, and branch manager.

Hobson has studied business administration from the University of Nevada-Reno, and holds an associate of arts degree from Truckee Meadows Community College. In the community, she is a board member for the Girl Scouts of the Sierra Nevada.
