HENDERSONVILLE, N.C.. – United Federal Credit Union (United) employees partnered with The Storehouse to purchase gifts for children in need in Henderson County, North Carolina, as part of The Storehouse’s Blessings in Boxes community initiative.

Team United helps prepare gifts for annual Blessings in Boxes

“It was more important than ever for United to work with The Storehouse for Blessings in Boxes this year,” said David Crow, United Business Development Manager. “After September’s destruction in western North Carolina from Hurricane Helene, we knew our neighbors needed an extra hand this holiday season. Our partnership with The Storehouse inspires all of us and we are proud to be able to support this important program every year.”

The Storehouse is a non-profit organization based in Hendersonville. It provides food and hygiene products to people with limited financial resources and, often, limited life skills. Its annual Blessings in Boxes program provides clothing and toys to children as well as coats, hats, gloves, and blankets to anyone in need during the holiday season.

In its eighth year of working with The Storehouse for Blessings in Boxes, United donated $8,700 to help purchase gifts and support volunteers. Overall, the program was able to serve more than 1,500 families, including nearly 3,000 children.
