Shared Branching - IDCheck
To ensure it's truly you accessing your shared branch account(s) and not an imposter, you will need to verify your identity through CO-OP's fraud prevention tool, IDCheck.
This tool allows a teller to identify and authenticate members requesting to make a transaction at a branch through a QR code and one-time passcode using multi-factor authentication verification. This additional layer of authentication will be required for withdrawals, but it may also be used for loan payments, cashier’s checks, deposits, transfers, and account inquiries based on the requirements of the shared branch location.
Here’s how it works:
- Scan the QR code located at the shared branch or visit verify.coop.org on your mobile device
- Select United Federal Credit Union from the credit union drop-down list
- Enter your member number and the last four digits of your social security number
- Take a picture of your ID
- Take a selfie
Tip: Save your validation for a much quicker experience the next time! - Show your one-time passcode to the teller at the shared branch (passcode is valid for up to 20 minutes)
