United Marks Autism Acceptance Month with Donation to the LOGAN Center

Color for a Cause Winner, Lincoln

Contest Winner, Lincoln Arney, presented with a check for $500 to a United Youth Savings Account

Benton Harbor, Michigan – United Federal Credit Union (United) donated $795 to the LOGAN Center as a result of its “Color for a Cause” contest. For each coloring page entered in the contest, United donated $1 to the LOGAN Center. The coloring pages provided the community with a fun and interactive activity for families to support a worthy cause.

“United looks forward every year to seeing the pictures created by our youngest Members during our annual ’Color for a Cause’ contest,” said Jodie Kitchell, United’s Regional Market Development Manager. “United is dedicated to the credit union philosophy of people helping people. We are proud to be able to support the LOGAN Center with this event year after year.”

As part of the contest, United also awarded $500 to a Youth Savings Account to one of the children who submitted a coloring sheet. The 2021 winner was 4-year-old Lincoln Arney of Warsaw, Indiana.

“We’re thrilled to have committed community partners like United during the month of April for Autism Acceptance Month,” said Adria Minniear, the LOGAN Center’s Chief Philanthropy Officer. “This fun and creative coloring activity is a great way for LOGAN and United to collaborate and provide an opportunity for families throughout Michiana to give back.”

The LOGAN Center supports people with intellectual and developmental disabilities so they, and their families, may achieve their desired quality of life. Their services help to allow children and adults to transition to greater independence and success in communication, daily living skills, pre-academic skills, behavior, and social interaction.
