United to Donate $28,000 Over Three Years to the Boys & Girls Club of St. Joseph County

Boys and Girls Club Check Donation

South Bend, Indiana – United Federal Credit Union (United) is excited to announce it is participating in a three-year partnership with the Boys & Girls Clubs of St. Joseph County to help improve the Club’s youth center.

Over the course of the multi-year partnership, United will donate $28,000 to the Boys & Girls Clubs of St. Joseph County. The donations will benefit the O.C. Carmichael Jr. Youth Center on E. Sample Street. They will include new office furniture and the installation of a brand-new mural at the youth center, as well as monetary donations.

“We are beyond grateful for the generosity United is showing the Club,” said Jacqueline Kronk, CEO of the Boys & Girls Clubs of St. Joseph County. “We believe investing in children as the future of our community will pay dividends for years to come and we are so pleased with their commitment to this partnership. We look forward to working together for years to come.”

In addition to the three-year partnership, United is supporting the Boys & Girls Clubs of St. Joseph County as it launches three new sites. The first will be a brand-new site in Mishawaka and will host 150 children. United will donate furniture to the new club. The other two sites are in partnership with the South Bend Venues Parks and Arts to utilize their recreation centers.

“We are so excited to help support the Boys and Girls Clubs of St. Joseph County. Their mission of helping the children in our community truly aligns with United's mission of people helping people,” said Carla Fazio-King, Regional Market Development Manager at United Federal Credit Union. “We feel there is no better way to invest in our future then through the children in our community. This partnership will not only offer the children a safe space to use today, it will give them the tools to inspire them to become responsible citizens in their community in the future.”
