Coinstar® Coin Machines
Are you someone with a jar of coin stuffed away in your junk cabinet or closet — we’ve got U! Turn your loose change into cash quickly and easily by using one of our 20+ Coinstar® coin machines available across our branch network. Machines are not available at every branch location, so be sure to check the list below to find the closest to you.
Plus, for the best part, if you’re a Member of United, you’re able to use our coin machines at no-cost! This is just one of many benefits to being a Member at United.
Not a Member? You can still use these machines, however, an 8.5% service fee will apply for all transactions over $1.00.

Coin Machine FAQs
A: As a benefit to being a United Member, all Members have access to the coin machines fee-free. For non-members, a service fee of 8.5% will apply to coin exchanges totaling more than $1.00.
A: U.S. currency only and all coin must be clean and undamaged. In addition, no commemorative coins, tokens, Eisenhower Silver Dollars or 1943 U.S. Pennies can be accepted.
A: At the end of your transaction, you’ll receive a printed voucher, which you can present at the teller line to receive cash or deposit the amount directly into your United account. Alternatively, you can choose to redeem your funds as no-fee eGift Cards from select merchants or donate to national charitable organizations such as the American Red Cross and Children’s Miracle Network.
A: There are no limits, however, once a machine is full, we’re unable to accept additional coin until the machine is serviced and emptied.
[1] Members receive up to five (5) free withdrawals per month at non-United ATMs. Withdrawals conducted at CO-OP Network ATMs are surcharge-free. After the five (5) free withdrawals are used, additional non-United ATM withdrawals, as well as withdrawals at CO-OP/Alliance ATMs, may be subject to fees assessed by United Federal Credit Union. Transactions conducted at non-CO-OP bank or privately owned ATMs may also be subject to a surcharge assessed by the ATM owner. Any such surcharge is not imposed, collected, or controlled by United Federal Credit Union.
[2] Coin machines at these locations have limited functionality and can be used for coin exchanges only. Redemption of no-fee gift cards and donations to charitable organizations are not available.
