United Receives Recognition from United Way of Southwest Michigan and University of Nevada, Reno

ST. JOSEPH, Mich. – United Federal Credit Union (United) is pleased to announce that it has been recognized by two esteemed organizations within the same week for its outstanding contributions to the community and higher education.

On Thursday, April 24, United was awarded the Whirlpool Community Commitment Award by United Way of Southwest Michigan. This prestigious award, named after Whirlpool for its significant fundraising efforts, acknowledges United's dedication to community service and its impactful contributions. The award was presented by Whirlpool, and Jodie Kitchell, Regional Vice President accepted the award on behalf of United.

“United strives to live by the credit union philosophy of people helping people. Our culture promotes service, community enhancement and volunteerism,” said Jodie Kitchell, Regional Vice President. “We are proud to support the United Way of Southwest Michigan and to have received this award in recognition of our community efforts.”

The following day, Friday, April 25, United received a Corporate Partner Award from the University of Nevada, Reno (UNR) College of Business in recognition of its financial contributions to the collegiate institution. This award highlights United's ongoing support for higher education and its role in fostering academic excellence. The award was presented during UNR’s College of Business Honors & Awards ceremony and accepted by Brook Sweeting, Senior Relationship Development Manager, on behalf of United.
