About Matthew:

With over 15 years of banking experience across western North Carolina, Sorrells has been with United since 2015, initially serving the credit union as its Asheville Market Manager. In 2018, his role transitioned to what it is today as, Senior Relationship Development Manager. In this role, he promotes member engagement, business and consumer membership and loan growth, and positive public relations across the greater Asheville, Fletcher, and Hendersonville areas.

Sorrells lives the credit union philosophy of ‘people helping people’ not only through member service, but also community involvement. He holds a degree from Gardner-Webb University and was a graduate of Southeast Region CUNA Management School (SRCUS) in 2019.
