United Expands Senior Leadership Team with Promotions of Brittany Grasley and Dan Card

ST. JOSEPH, Mich. – United Federal Credit Union (United) is further strengthening its Senior Leadership Team (SLT), underscoring the organization's dedication to strategic growth and delivering outstanding experiences for its members. In line with this initiative, Brittany Grasley has been promoted to the position of Chief Operations Officer, and Dan Card has been promoted to Chief Information Officer.

“Brittany and Dan’s deep experience with United positions them to make an immediate impact on both the employee and member experience,” said Terry O’Rourke, United CEO/President. “Brittany’s leadership in operations and Dan’s leadership in technology will help us create smoother processes, stronger support for our teams, and more seamless, responsive service for our members. Both bring a strong understanding of our mission, and we’re excited for the value they will create in these new roles.”

Grasley’s promotion to Chief Operations Officer (COO) reflects her strong leadership, commitment to operational excellence, and meaningful contributions to team development. Since joining United in 2009, she has consistently demonstrated a passion for enhancing member service and driving performance across her teams. 

Grasley will lead the credit union’s daily operations, including loans, deposits, and payment services. She will also lead project management and continuous improvement strategies. In this role, she ensures these areas run smoothly, efficiently, and consistently to support a high-quality experience for United’s members.

“I’m grateful to step into the role of Chief Operations Officer at United. With 17 years of experience across various areas of the business, I’m excited to bring my background into a leadership position focused on driving meaningful changes for both employees and members,” said Grasley. “By aligning project management, continuous improvement, and operations, we can streamline innovation and optimize systems and processes—preparing us to scale effectively as we grow.”

With a strong history of leading complex initiatives and strengthening key business lines, Card is well-positioned to support United’s long-term strategic vision in his role as Chief Information Officer. Since starting with United in 2013, Card’s leadership has played an important role in advancing United’s growth and innovation efforts in its information technology department. 

In his new role, Card will lead the Credit Union’s technology strategy and ensure systems, tools, and data support the organization’s goals and member experience.

“It is a privilege and I am humbled to lead United’s technology initiatives and to be part of an exceptional team,” said Card. “We will continue to focus on proven best practices, complete ownership principles and forward-looking innovation to support our strategic priorities and enhance the experience and success of our members.”

As part of its ongoing growth strategy, United’s expansion of its Senior Leadership Team will better support the organization’s evolving needs. The enhanced structure is designed to strengthen cross-functional collaboration, accelerate strategic initiatives, and ensure United remains well-positioned to serve its members and communities.
