ST. JOSEPH, Mich. – United Federal Credit Union (United) continues its focus on expanding its commercial lending footprint and has added Johnathan Wingfield as its new Director of Commercial Lending Sales. Wingfield will be based in South Bend, Indiana and will lead United’s team of Business Loan Officers and Commercial Loan Officers throughout the country.

In his new role, Wingfield will be responsible for driving commercial growth and performance and establish strong cross-functional routines with treasury management and merchant services teams and execute strategies that align with the broader organizational sales goals.

Wingfield brings more than ten years of experience in commercial lending and business banking leadership to his new role. Most recently, he was the Senior Vice President, Commercial Lending for a credit union in South Bend, Indiana.
Wingfield is a native of Indiana and has a bachelor’s degree from Indiana University Bloomington. He was also named to the South Bend Regional Chamber’s 40 Under 40 list in 2018. Before his banking career, he spent 10 years in the United States Coast Guard, doing search & rescue and law enforcement.
