According to the Moonridge Foundation, the award was “established 13 years ago by Eric Hilton, the Trailblazer Awards recognize individuals and organizations creating a meaningful, lasting impact across Nevada. Each year, we honor one individual and one corporation in both Northern and Southern Nevada whose leadership, generosity, and commitment continue to strengthen our communities. United’s dedication exemplifies this spirit in every way.”
"It’s humbling to receive this recognition and be included among so many organizations and leaders doing important work to strengthen Nevada," said Meredith Williams, United's Senior Vice President of Retail. "We also want to say thank you to Community Health Alliance for nominating us. We are so proud to receive this award from the Moonridge Foundation and excited to continue creating meaningful impact together."
With 10 branch locations across northern Nevada and an 11th branch currently under construction, United is committed to being more than a financial institution. The Trailblazer Award reflects the dedication of United team members who work every day to make a positive difference in the lives of members and neighbors alike. Whether helping individuals reach their financial goals, supporting local nonprofits, or responding to community needs during times of crisis, United remains focused on building stronger, more vibrant communities.
While financial support is important, United's commitment to the communities it serves goes far beyond writing checks. Team members regularly volunteer their time, share financial education and literacy resources, and work alongside local organizations to create meaningful, lasting impact. Whether through hands-on service, community partnerships, or helping individuals build stronger financial futures, United remains dedicated to strengthening the places its members and employees call home.
That commitment is reflected in United’s support of organizations across northern Nevada, including Boys & Girls Club, Big Brothers Big Sisters, Girls on the Run, Nevada Food for Thought, PBS Reno, Community Health Alliance, and many others. Most recently, United contributed $20,000 to support Hawk Fire Relief efforts, with funds distributed equally between Catholic Charities of Northern Nevada and the American Red Cross Northern Nevada Chapter to assist those affected by the wildfire. These partnerships and investments reflect United’s ongoing dedication to helping communities thrive today and for generations to come.
