Determine your current financial position

The first step is to complete a comprehensive budget analysis that shows exactly where you stand financially at the end of every month. This information is what we use to build your plan.

Before you meet with a United counselor, you’ll need to fill out a Budget Analysis and a signed waiver statement. Once we have these items, we’ll contact you to schedule an appointment to come in and meet with us personally.

Setting up a budget

A budget is essential to keeping track of how and where you’re spending money. And it’s easier to set one up than you might think. We’ll teach you how to track your income and spending, and how to set aside a little extra every month to create a financial safety net. A lack of savings is often the difference between managing the money you have or falling into a cycle of long-term debt with high interest rates

Understanding your credit score

Our Counselors will help you understand the importance of a good credit score, and also how your credit score is calculated. Find out which actions can help or hurt your score, and what factors have no impact.

We understand how challenging life’s ups and downs can be. We’ll take the time to listen and understand your situation, and give you tools to get through the rough spots and get back on track.
