2019 Blessings in Boxes

gift with bow icon in orangeBlessings in Boxes is an annual initiative to provide Henderson County children in need with gifts of clothes, books, and toys during the holiday season.  The program provides presents to over 2,200 children annually. 


Get Involved

There are a number of ways to get involved with The Storehouse all year round.  You can donate:

  • time to the food pantry, clothing closet, and service works
  • nonperishable food and goods such as canned meats, fruits, vegetables and soups, rice, pasta, and dried beans, grits, oatmeal and cereal as well as laundry and dish soap, toothpaste, tooth brushes and bar soap, toilet paper and diapers, razors and deodorant
  • talent such as letter writing, data entry, handyman services, or driver
  • financially 


About the Storehouse

The Storehouse was established in 2000 to provide food and basic necessities for those in need in Henderson County. The organization supports a year-round food pantry and coat closet, and, during the holiday season, the Blessings in Boxes initiative. The Storehouse is staffed by two paid employees and the programs run wholly by volunteers. The organization is a non-profit 501©(3) tax-exempt public charity. Learn more at The Storehouse.
